HEALTH and SAFETY
Your guide is a qualified first-aider and carries a small first aid kit in case of bumps or scrapes. However, prevention is always best.
Be aware that part of the walk will be on cobbles, which can become slippery when wet. Please wear appropriate footwear - this doesn't have to be walking boots / shoes, but sandals with heels might not be such a good idea!
WEATHER
Please be aware that the Uk weather can be very fickle. It is recommended that you always carry a lightweight waterproof jacket. Umbrellas can be dangerous in numbers with people's eyes being the usual casualties. So, it is recommended the you have either a hat or a jacket with a hood.
Most of all, keep your fingers crossed for a dry spell when you choose to take your walk.
PUSHCHAIRS, BABY WALKERS, STROLLERS AND CHILDREN
Everyone of every age is very welcome to join the walk. However, it should be pointed out that some of the streets are narrow and can be very busy with pedestrians and cars, especially in the summer months. Please respect other road and pathway users and keep a special eye on your children - it is very easy for them to become separated.
Although children are welcome, feedback has shown that they might get bored.
WHEELCHAIRS, ETC
The brochure / leaflet will indicate if the walk is not suitable for wheelchair users. However, the guide will do everything possible to make the entire walk accessible to all. Please let it be known when paying for your walk that you find steps difficult, etc and a detour will be arranged.
